It was so great to back at the rustic Shadow Creek Wedding & Events for Bethany & Michaels Wedding on the 17th of June! What a great couple and their cute dog Oshie, was pretty helpful during the planning process. Since they both live in North Carolina, all of the planning was done via video conferencing. Isn’t technology great?
Wedding Ceremony
The weather couldn’t be any more perfect for their ceremony! Blue Sky and Sun shines all around made the perfect backdrop for the ceremony. Bethany used the instrumental version of “Your Song” by Ellie Goulding for her march down the aisle. Their vows were very beautiful and touching! A special shout out to Lyndse from Savoir Fare Catering for being such a great coordinator for this event.
Cocktails
The wedding party and guests enjoyed cocktails in the front on the venue while I played a mix of Motown & Soft Rock in the background! As if the heavens were blessing an event, a rainbow appeared out of no while we were out there! Thankfully, Sarah Goodwin Photography was there to capture this moment! Check out the image above.
Introductions & First Dance
After we invited guests inside for wedding party introductions, the bridesmaids and groomsmen entered to the song”Hand Clap” by Fitz & Tantrums. Then, Bethany & Michael, made their big entrance to”Feel Again” by One Republic! There was no delay as they engaged in their very first dance as husband and wife.
Side note: this was one of my favorite parts of their Wedding because their first dance was to “Mean to Me” by Brett Eldridge… which was performed live by one of their groomsmen, Chris Ayer! He nailed it, and was so impressed with his talent. I would definitely pay to hear him live, and I imagine that he was quite honored to perform for their first dance.
This being a very important part of the festivities, I made sure to work with Chris on his set up needs and sound system, and it was my pleasure.
After dancing for a bit, we went to Dinner followed by toasts!
Bethany and her father danced to “My Girl” by The Temptations then we opened the dance-floor for all of the guests! It was such a fun night of dancing, and their playlist was a lot of fun. I love it when I get to play a huge variety of music, and this night was one of them. 80’s, Classic Rock, Top 40 and Country were all apart of the night..
Some of my favs of the night were “Sweet Child O’ Mine by Guns N’ Roses and “Call On Me” by Starley (Ryan Riback Remix). For the Riback remix, Bethany had me call all the bridesmaids out for a group dance! The last song of the evening was “I’ve Had The Time Of My Life” by Bill Medley’s…which is probably be perfect song for closing out a great night.
I am so happy to have become friends with Bethany and Michael!
