We had a great time at the chic and modern Westin Georgetown for Claire & Steven’s Wedding on October 27th 2018.
Wedding Ceremony
Their ceremony took place in The DC Westin’s gorgeous white ballroom! One of our favorite photographers, Rob of Rob Jinks Photography, captured the pictures for the ceremony and reception.
Cocktails
While Claire & Steven finished up pictures in the beautiful courtyard outside, many of their guests caught up with friends and family over drinks and hors-d’oeuvres. We kept the background soundtrack going with a mix of Top 40 hits and easy listening tracks to set the mood.
Introductions & First Dance
After the pics had finished, we invited all of the guests upstairs for the Claire and Steven’s grand entrance. It was awesome as they entered the room to “Whoop There It Is” by Tag Team, and then followed with their first dance to “My Best Friend” by Tim McGraw. Which is such a fantastic song choice for them as they embark on their life together.
Claire danced with her father to “You Raise Me” by Josh Groban, and Steven’s dance with his mother was accompanied by “What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong. More great song choices for this celebration ensued.
After a couple of heart-warming toasts, we opened the dance floor! The first song of the night, “Feel So Good” by Mase, set the virtual table for a fun-filled evening. Claire & Steven personally chose every song for their big night, and I loved mixing their playlist! The props they used for the party were a huge hit among the guests.
My favorite part of the night was power hour! Before the wedding, Claire & Steven had given me a list of 50 of their favorite hip-hop and throwback songs. I took one minute from each of the songs and mixed them smoothly with one another. Needless to say, the dance floor got to pumping as I played those hits an entire hour straight.
