It’s always an amazing time at Shadow Creek Weddings & Events. On November 4th, we were fortunate enough to go back to celebrate Courtney & Matt’s wedding. They were such fun to work with as they added several intricate details. For example, they had a custom selfie station for their guests to post on Instagram, a live painter, and an antique cigar bar by Bella Villa Antiques. This made for one unforgettable celebration.
Ceremony
Fortunately for us, it was an amazingly beautiful and sunny day with clear skies. The perfect weather allowed the ceremony to be held outside. Emerald green backdrop of nature made the perfect space for Courtney & Matt to share heart-warming vows with one another.
Cocktails
After the ceremony, guests found their way to the portico for cocktails and small bites. The cocktails soundtrack included a mix of laid-back country tunes and pop hits. Of course, Courtney & Matt had their special day documented in pictures with photographs by Scratch Studios.
Introductions & First Dance
Shortly after photos, we began the reception. We introduced the wedding party, then followed with a high energy entrance by Mr. and Mrs. Wilson. The beautiful couple walked out to “In The Name of Love” by Martin Garrix and smoothly transitioned to their first dance with “So Easy” by Philips Philips.
One of our favorite caterers, Pigs BBQ, provided a mouth-watering dinner. If you ever get the chance, we suggest you check them out. Afterward, was the mother-son dance to “The Perfect Fan” by Backstreet Boys, followed by the father-daughter dance which took everyone, even Matt, by surprise with five-minutes worth of choreography. They absolutely killed it and The Herringtons captured every moment of it on video….we cannot wait to see it again!
Finally, as the energy in the room grew, we opened up the dance floor! Some of the crowd favorites included “Uptown Funk,” “YMCA” (a must play request), and a few throwback Ludacris hits. Courtney is a huge Ludacris fan, so we had to make sure include a lot his music in this reception! The crowd brought plenty of energy and was definitely an upbeat bunch. As the night came to an end, we invited everyone to step outside for a sparkler filled send off for the bride and groom. Laura Dee Events did a fabulous job coordinating the reception departure!
