Adrienne & Bobby’s Shadow Creek Wedding

May 9, 2017

Shadow Creek Wedding

Adrienne & Bobby’s Wedding took place at the beautiful and rustic Shadow Creek in Purcellville, VA. I love providing entertainment at a Shadow Creek Wedding! This was my first time meeting Adrienne & Bobby in person since they both lived up North, and they are such a great couple. All of our planning was done via Facetime!

Wedding Ceremony

This particular Shadow Creek wedding took place in the back on the patio. The whole week we were praying for no rain, and fortunately, those prayers were answered. This was my first time witnessing a Jewish ceremony and what a magnificent ceremony it was. Shira, a family friend, officiated the ceremony, plus, played guitar and sung during the processional songs. There were also the “7 Blessings”… which is when seven close friends and/or family members offer a blessing to the couple. The blessings were followed by the traditional breaking of the glass.

After the ceremony, guests were invited over to the front patio for cocktails and small bites. Gus (the venue horse) also made a guest appearance during cocktails!

Introductions & First Dance

Following cocktails, I invited everyone inside to form a circle for the introductions. We introduced Adrienne’s grandfather first, and then Bobby’s parents came in to “Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy” by The Tams. Next, I introduced Adrienne’s parents who came in to “Move, Shake, Drop” by DJ Laz ft. Pitbull”. The crowd lost it for that intro and song. Next up, the bridesmaid’s and friends walked in to “Cake By The Ocean” by DNCE. Many of the bride & groom’s friends had personal nicknames which we announced as they came into the reception hall. Finally, the stars of the night, Adrienne & Bobby, walked out to “24K Magic” by Bruno Mars which lead into their first dance to “The Luckiest” by Ben Folds. Since the bride & groom wanted to keep the energy high throughout the entire night, we decided to open up the dance-floor for a short dance set to some “Earth, Wind & Fire” & “Motown”… since they loved these genres.

Dinner & Dancing

After toasts and dinner, we went straight to parent dances. Adrienne danced to “I’ll Be There” by Josh Turner with her Father, and Bobby danced to “Shine” by Benjamin Leftswitch with his Mother. Since this was a part Jewish Wedding we definitely had to do the “Horah” after.

With the energy already at a high level, we went right into a second set of dancing to some Top 40 Hits. Later on in the evening we went into the line dance favorite the “Cupid Shuffle” which everyone loved! Since Bobby’s parents loved “The Tam’s” of course we had to throw some of their hits in the mix. We ended the night off with hits like “Shut Up & Dance” by Walk The Moon, and “We Found Love” By Rihanna. Everyone was jumping and dancing! The night ended with a big sparkler exit! What a fun night it was!
