Let me set the scene for you.
Your summertime wedding is going down. Café lights are strung across a two-story vaulted ceiling in the reception room. The tables are set with tealight candles and overflowing vases of white roses.
Chill lounge music pipes through the speakers as guests enter the space. They’ve already enjoyed signature cocktails made from herbs taken straight from the farm’s gardens. Now, they’re looking forward to an evening of farm-to-table dishes, vineyard wines, and curated entertainment by yours truly.
Where is all of this happening? The Garden of Eden? No, but close.
Pippin Hill Farm and Vineyards just outside of Charlottesville, Virginia. And it’s at the top of my list of incredible wedding venues for all the reasons below.
It’s A Whole Vibe
There’s this unique mix of aesthetics – it’s rustic but also modern. For example, the Granary event space is barn-inspired, with charming rooftop cupolas and dark hardwood floors. But there are also a lot of clean lines and angles, so it could easily be transformed into a chic modern space.
And then there are other areas, like the Veranda with its stone flooring and candlelit lanterns. And the spacious Tasting Room with ample windows and a bar crafted from a 400-year-old Cypress tree.
It’s really just a vibe at Pippin Hill. Whether it’s a blue-sky summer, and you’re sitting outside sipping an herb-crafted cocktail – or it’s winter, and you’re cozy in the Tasting Room swirling a Cabernet Franc – it’s always a good time.
The Dedicated Event Spaces Are Gorgeous
Let’s go back to the Granary area that I mentioned above. This room, most often used for receptions, is elegant, warm, and charming on its own. Add florals and candles, and you’ll be like, “Whoa! Wonderland!” Or maybe that’s just me. But check out some real wedding photos, and you’ll see what I mean.
The big-time benefit on the entertainment side is that we can arrive earlier than the typical 2-hour timeframe to set up. AND there’s soundproofing to eliminate feedback, so everything sounds smooth and crisp, and the acoustics are enhanced. Not many venues have this feature. Plus, because the walls are white, everything blends in beautifully.
I also mentioned the Veranda, which is ideal for cocktail hour in any season. It’s fully enclosed during the winter, but you’ll still have scenic views of the landscaped courtyard and mountains.
For outdoor weddings, there’s the Vineyard Lawn and the Main Lawn – both with stunning views, manicured spaces, and equipped with power.
Elevated Dining Experiences
If you’re like me and love an elevated dining experience with cool, curated music and that whole vibe, Pippin Hill has you covered. Think farm-to-table cuisine, crafted cocktails, and in-house catering that’s next level. Plus, their attention to hospitality is on point.
The venue offers seasonal menus, catering consultations, and cuisine and beverage services. You can read more about their wedding packages in their 2023 Brochure.
Their staff is super friendly, organized, and easy to work with. The load-in is seamless and a breeze for a reception. So we can be set up and ready to party in no time.
That’s another thing about Pippin Hill Farm and Vineyards – weddings flow really well there, and there’s lots of creative ability and flexibility.
From an entertainment perspective, I think this venue has it all. The ambiance is ideal, and the service is impeccable. Undoubtedly, your guests will remember every moment spent celebrating at Pippin Hill Farm.
